Kidney Clarity Session

Your kidney numbers are changing and you were told to wait.
This is the appointment nobody gave you.

Nobody took your whole history. That’s the entire problem.

A 60-minute teaching session with a board-certified nephrologist on what is actually driving your kidney decline, and the six places it starts. Choose a time below. No charge.

Getting started

Let's find you a time.

Four short questions first, so the session fits your situation and so Dr. Irfan's team knows who is in the room. Takes about a minute.

Block 60 minutes, you'll want a notepad.

What has your doctor told you about your kidney function?

If you are not sure of the exact stage, pick the closest.

How long have you known?

Has your kidney function dropped sharply in the last six months?

What have you already tried?

Pick everything that applies.

Pick a time that works.

The session runs 60 minutes. Dr. Irfan's clinical team is in the chat to answer your questions while you watch.

Let's do this properly, one to one.

At this stage a group teaching session is not the right starting point for you. What you need is a full history and a plan built on your own labs, and that is a conversation with Dr. Irfan's team rather than a recording.

Check your email for the link and the calendar file. We will remind you the day before, an hour before, and again ten minutes before it starts.

While it's fresh, tell me one thing?

Three questions, all optional, and they shape what Dr. Irfan covers next.

The five things this session covers

  1. Why kidneys are signaling, not failing, and the cell biology under that sentence
  2. The chain that ends at the kidney, and why the kidney is the last link, not the first
  3. The six places kidney decline actually begins: all six, named out loud
  4. Why doing more, after a diagnosis like this, usually makes things worse
  5. Why a category is not a picture, and what it takes to get from one to the other
Is this you?

What the session covers

01

What your creatinine can tell you, and what it has no way of telling you.

It moves with how much water you drank, how much muscle you carry, what time they drew the blood, and what you ate two days before. One reading is a snapshot in bad lighting. It can report that your kidneys are under strain. It was never designed to report why, and nobody in that appointment was assigned the why.

02

The three kinds of cells inside a kidney that's been under strain for years, and why only one of them gets discussed.

Some are healthy. Some are scarred, and Dr. Irfan will tell you plainly that scar tissue does not come back. The third group is the one that never comes up in a ten-minute appointment: cells that are alive and struggling under a load. Your creatinine cannot tell those apart from the scarred ones. That distinction is the difference between watch and wait, and let's go look.

03

Why four people with four unrelated histories end up with the same label on the same chart.

Eleven years of prediabetes nobody treated as a real diagnosis. Nine years living with water damage behind a wall. A childhood of repeated antibiotics and a gut that's never been right since. Grinding stress since 2019 that never got put down. You'll see the single chain all four of those run through, and once you can see it you'll understand why the protocol that transformed someone in a Facebook group did nothing for you. It wasn't a bad protocol. It was aimed at their entry point.

04

The six places kidney decline actually begins, named out loud, all six.

Not a category like "metabolic." The actual six, with the specific questions inside each one that almost nobody has ever asked you: your oral health, the year you lost someone, what you did for a living for thirty years, the antibiotics you were on at seven years old, the house you lived in for nine years.

05

A pen exercise you'll do in your own room, and a number you'll say out loud.

Bring paper. About forty minutes in, you'll score yourself across those six categories and end up with a number that is yours. Most people find three or more, and most people have never once been told that what they're carrying is a load rather than bad luck or personal failure. This is the part people write to Dr. Irfan about afterward.

06

What your kidneys actually do, which is far more than filter.

They're roughly the size of your fist, and each one holds around a million filtering units built from the finest blood vessels in your body. Your kidney is less a filter and more a dense ball of blood vessels, which is why anything that damages small vessels anywhere damages your kidneys by definition. They also run your blood pressure, activate your vitamin D, and tell your bone marrow when to make red blood cells, which is why kidney patients get anemic and get told it's unrelated.

07

Why the fear you've been carrying since the day someone said "kidney" belongs in your chart, not in your feelings.

Your kidney sits inside a tight fibrous capsule with very little room. In a constant sympathetic state, blood flow shunts away from it and it swells slightly against that capsule. Healing has never happened in that state, in any organ, in any body. Dr. Irfan treats safety as one of the interventions, and it's the only one that's free.

08

The three wrong turns people take right after they learn all this, and how to not take them.

Cutting protein to almost nothing in your sixties. The shopping bag of fourteen supplements recommended by six sources, none of whom knew what the other five said. The aggressive detox done first, before the exits are open. Every one of those comes from a good instinct pointed the wrong way, and one order of operations prevents all three. You'll also see the shape of a real root-cause map: which driver is primary, what order to touch things in, and what to leave completely alone for now. Half of what you've been worrying about is probably not your problem. Being told that out loud is its own kind of relief.

Who this session is for

This session is for kidney disease stages 1 through 4. If you are on dialysis, at stage 5, or post-transplant, a group teaching session is not the right starting point for you — what you need is a proper one-to-one conversation first, and the booking steps above will route you straight to it. We would rather tell you that now than waste an hour of your time.

What A Root-Cause Workup Reads

We measure what others never look at

Kidney numbers do not fall for no reason. These are three of the markers this kind of workup reads, and what each one tells us.

1.9mg/dL creatinine
The slow drift
2021today
No single reading looks alarming. Side by side, the drift is the story, and it has a cause.
Kidney panel, read in sequence
7.2ng/g ochratoxin A
Mold toxins
yours
A real burden on the kidneys that almost nobody measures in years of standard care.
Environmental toxin screen
C677TMTHFR variant
The gene that shapes it
Genes are not a verdict. Knowing them means the plan is built for your body, not an average one.

When I started with you, my labs were pretty bad. And this year I did them again, and everything came back normal.

You're a nephrologist and a functional medicine doctor, which we'd been looking for. We didn't find one that combines both.

This isn't just woo stuff. This is real. And I can see it because it happened. Now I can take the next step.
